What's public vs. what needs login

We confirmed this directly: browsingelearn.nou.edu.ng/course/index.phplists course categories by faculty for the current session (e.g. "Faculty of Education 2026_2") with no login needed — you can see course codes and titles. But opening any one course's actual page returns an HTTP 303 redirect to the Moodle login screen for anyone not signed in. There is no way around that, and there shouldn't be — course material is part of what your fees pay for.

How to log in and reach your course

1. Go to elearn.nou.edu.ng and sign in with your NOUN student credentials (the same ones used for the student portal registration process — see our admission page if you haven't registered yet).
2. Once logged in, find your faculty's course category for the current session (categories are labelled by faculty and a session code, e.g. "_262" for a 2026 second-semester offering).
3. Open the specific course by its code (department prefix + number, e.g. "ECE101" or "NOUN-SED118") to reach its material.
4. If a course you registered for doesn't appear, confirm your semester registration and course registration are both complete — course access follows registration status, not just admission status.

If courseware won't load or looks wrong

• Blank or error page after login: usually a registration-status issue — confirm your course/semester registration was actually completed and paid, not just started.
• Course missing from your list: the session tag may not match — check you're looking at the current session's category, not an old one.
• Site slow or unreachable: try again later; Moodle platforms under load are common at registration deadlines across Nigerian distance-learning programmes generally, this is not specific advice from NOUN.
